Edgewater Building Lobby

This building lobby was bare and outdated when we were hired to create a warm, cozy, and most of all welcoming space for the tenants of "The Granville". We worked with the board to create a color palette for the entire building, selecting colors, lighting, and new artwork for the hallways on each floor. Once we had board approval for those selections, we moved into the lobby space to elevate it into a boutique hotel lobby.

We utilized the same color palette from the hallways, and selected warm and industrial light fixtures to ensure there was a warm and cozy vibe upon entry. We also worked closely with the building staff and management to ensure that the flow of the space was going to be conducive to how tenants needed to utilize the lobby. With quite a few of the tenants needing handicap accessibility it was imperative to include this in our design, as well as for larger deliveries and move in/out days. We took into account how durable each of these pieces were going to be, as longevity is important in this high traffic area.

We created a seating area that tenants could utilize to take calls, chat with their neighbors, or just wait for their delivery to arrive. We have found many people utilizing this space to read their morning news to escape their work from home environment for a few moments. To really elevate this space and make it unique, we created a custom font signage for "The Granville" along with custom floor mats for the elevators to make a fun and impactful first impression! The golden sign is flanked by two uplit trees to frame the sign perfectly as it's the first thing your eyes see as you enter the space. The tenants feedback called out this unique signage as one of their favorite parts of the renovation. Going hand in hand with the renovation, tenants and owners have seen a great ROI when going to sell and rent their units to new owners and renters alike!
